Take a look at Chris Hayden's answer to Lindsay entitled "Kongo Groove"

This poem has been said to be racist by some litterary critics. Most critics say it's not. Lindsay himself always denied the accusations of racism (a good example of that is his poem "The Jazz Bird" which is a hommage to black people who fought world war one. I chose to publish this poem on the site because it's a classic and it's beautiful. What Lindsay does is depicting the way it feels to find oneself in the middle of a totally unknown world.
- Answer to those who asked me : yes this poem was quoted in "the Dead Poets Society". -
